Random word

So I randomly wake up with a word stuck in my head or a song. So this morning I woke up saying spina bifida. Here is the definition curteousy of wikipedia:

Spina bifida (Latin: "split spine") is a developmental birth defect caused by the incomplete closure of the embryonic neural tube. Some vertebrae overlying the spinal cord are not fully formed and remain unfused and open. If the opening is large enough, this allows a portion of the spinal cord to protrude through the opening in the bones. There may or may not be a fluid-filled sac surrounding the spinal cord. Other neural tube defects include anencephaly, a condition in which the portion of the neural tube which will become the cerebrum does not close, and encephalocele, which results when other parts of the brain remain unfused.

Spina bifida malformations fall into four categories: spina bifida occulta, spina bifida cystica (myelomeningocele), meningocele and lipomeningocele. The most common location of the malformations is the lumbar and sacral areas . Myelomeningocele is the most significant form and it is this that leads to disability in most affected individuals. The terms spina bifida and myelomeningocele are usually used interchangeably.

Spina bifida can be surgically closed after birth, but this does not restore normal function to the affected part of the spinal cord. Intrauterine surgery for spina bifida has also been performed and the safety and efficacy of this procedure is currently being investigated. The incidence of spina bifida can be decreased by up to 75% when daily folic acid supplements are taken prior to conception.[1]

At last

Today I lounged around all morning surfing the net, talked to my sissy most of the morning and listened to music. I was anxious for the mail so I could watch the movie netflix was sending me. (BTW if I ever write netflicks it really means netflix. I have a huge tendency of renaming stuff!) So I went to check the mail at 1ish and my mail was no where to be found. I was a bit annoyed/bummed so I went to my sofa to be comforted and fell asleep ;)

I woke up around 5ish went to check the mail and it was there in all it glory!! I gotta tell yah it was the best trip to my mail box e-v-e-r!! Here is the first item that I got:

I'm so excited to finally have the chance to go to jury duty. I think it would be an incredible experience to sit in on a case. I help attorneys prepare for trials all the time but do not get the opportunity to go watch the trial. (OK I went once and crap hit the fan and it was postponed a month or so) Although it would not be one of my attorney in action, (which I would love to watch) it would be fascinating. At least I think so. Everyone thinks I'm being sarcastic (I know I excel in it) but I'm not I'm so stoked! I'm not crazy people!!

I also got and invitation to my cousin wedding in Cancun, Mexico! I hope I can afford to go. It would be tons of fun. What can I say. . . I want to feel the warmth of MEXICO!! Who doesn't?

I got a loan bill and an invitation to apply for another loan! Which I want I've been working on consolidating my debit and getting it paid off as quickly as possible!! My goal is by 12/31/2010 at the absolute latest!! I have prayed to Jesus for some time now to help me come up with a solid plan to get my financial affairs together. I finally got my answer!!

For the fist time in a very long time I feel like I'm no longer drowning and I have my life together. I am ultimately in control of my life and it feels FABULOUS!!

5 Guys Burgers and Fries

My life just got a little bit sweeter!! I just accidental found out that there is a 5 Guys Burger and Fries located in WASHINGTON!! It's only 6.7 miles away. I am so excited and plan to make many trips here!! OMG!! Yay!!

Mother Nature

Ok :) so I decided that I did not want my Aunt flow to visit me while I was on vacation. (she visited me on the last vacation) I decided to play a magic trick called when you finish the 3rd row of your birth control skip to a new pack. She did not grace me with a visit while I was on vacation, but it was a big trick on her end, ugh!! She arrived the week I should have started the new pack and decided to stay for an entire f$%#ing month, sigh. A WHOLE MONTH!!! Ohh Emmm Geeee!! Biggest mistake ever!! Ladies don't do it. It's not worth it. I hope my lapse in judgment taught you all a valuable lesson!!

is one of the greatest American rock bands! If you have not listened to their music. . . you need to! ASAP! I must listen to their beautiful music daily! They are a really neat group. They formed in Nashville, Tennessee. They have been around since 1999. The group consist of 3 brothers & their cousin, very cute!

I'm very disappointed that Kanye did not steal Taylor's lime light, BUT more disappointed that Taylor did not thank him for not stealing it, ugh! Seriously Taylor what's your problem? If she would of blasted him she would have received some major kudos from the world, but no she's acting like a lady and shit. Lame! She could of earned SO much street credit, but NOOOOOOO!!! Better luck next time!
